Closer to the Finish

We've had several good workdays recently. Painting has been done on site and off.

Saturday, we had one of our best workdays. Exceptionally good weather, excellent volunteer turnout, admirable effort by all and high quality results.

A total of 33 volunteers, consisting of 15 First Baptist members, 12 Thankful Baptist members and 6 friends of the Ellis family came to the worksite. Main focus was on interior doors and all jambs & facings trim. Some of the doors had been installed on Friday, June 4th, which allowed this group to concentrate on completing the window jambs and facings, hanging bi-fold doors, installing door hardware, giving all doors and trim another finish coat of paint, cleaning all windows and the sub-flooring and sprucing up the yard.

A total of 117 labor hours were expended for this phase of the project. Next week, the vinyl flooring will be installed, followed by baseboard and shoe mould trim.

Our goal remains to be complete by June 26th, with landscaping to be the final item on the schedule.
